How RH1 Delivered Southeast Asia’s Longest Hybrid Go-Kart Track at City Park, The Global City

City Park is a major sports, entertainment and family complex within The Global City, developed in 2024 by Masterise Homes in collaboration with RH1 as its entertainment development partner. Among its wider mix of outdoor activities, family attractions and technology-led experiences, the hybrid go-kart track at TGC Speedway has become the famous entertainment anchor at The Global City.
Delivering an attraction of this scale required more than a strong technical design. RH1 coordinated the partners, construction, kart fleet, technology and guest journey to deliver a ready-to-run experience that attracts visitors, builds visibility and strengthens City Park’s wider offering.

The Go-Kart Track Creating Wider Impact for City Park
As part of TGC Speedway, the attraction features a 417-metre covered circuit, a 923-metre outdoor circuit and a connected 1,464-metre Supertrack, making it the longest hybrid go-kart track in Southeast Asia.
Its scale, distinctive indoor–outdoor layout and striking track design have made the go-kart experience one of City Park’s most recognisable attractions. More than a standalone activity, it has become a major entertainment anchor that gives people a clear reason to visit The Global City. According to project reporting, the attraction contributed more than 20,000 visitors per month to City Park’s overall traffic during periods in 2024, while also generating wider attention for the development.
Since opening, the track has generated significant social buzz. Racing videos, group photos and check-in content shared by visitors and well-known KOLs and KOCs, including rapper Thai VG, have captured the excitement of stepping into a professional-style racing environment. These moments have helped the go-kart experience at TGC Speedway gain visibility across Facebook, TikTok and other social platforms, extending its reach far beyond the track itself.

The venue has also become a popular location for event organise and company outing. From Vitech Race Day by Vitech, Porsche Club Vietnam’s Race to a League of Legends offline event, etc, showing how it can attract and engage a wide range of audiences.

Beyond its impressive length, the track’s modern design and distinctive racing atmosphere have made it a compelling location for major fashion shows and media productions. In November 2024, nearly 400metres of the indoor circuit were transformed into the runway for ELLEMAN Fashion Show 2024. The venue has also appeared in multiple episodes of Rap Viet and Em Xinh Say Hi two of Vietnam’s televised entertainment programmes. Its dramatic lighting, industrial finishes and bold racing environment create a visually striking setting that stands apart from a conventional studio or event venue.

The impact therefore extends well beyond ticket revenue. By attracting visitors, inspiring shareable content and accommodating races, corporate programmes and major productions, the track helps increase visit frequency, strengthen destination visibility and create further opportunities for surrounding dining, retail and event spaces.
How RH1 Developed the Hybrid Go-Kart Concept
Before detailed design began, RH1 assessed whether go-karting was commercially and operationally suitable for City Park.
The early feasibility work considered expected visitor demand, target customer groups, investment requirements, operating capacity, potential revenue and the attraction’s role within the wider destination. This helped determine whether it could generate a sustainable return while contributing to footfall and destination visibility.
RH1 then shaped the format around the site conditions and long-term operating needs. Rather than relying on a single outdoor circuit, the hybrid concept gave City Park the flexibility to run different track configurations, respond to changing weather and accommodate varying visitor volumes and event formats.

At the same time, RH1 aimed to set a new benchmark for go-kart quality in Vietnam. By bringing together leading international track designers, kart manufacturers and timing-system specialists, the project was developed to deliver a safe, reliable and high-performance racing experience for both first-time visitors and confident drivers.
This gave City Park more than a record-breaking track but a stronger entertainment anchor for the destination that can serve different visitor volumes with more than one racing experience.
3. Building the Longest Hybrid Go-Kart Track on sketch
Once the hybrid direction had been established, specialist track designer 360 Karting developed the technical circuit design.
RH1 reviewed each stage from both an operational perspective and the needs of City Park’s target visitors, including families, first-time drivers, younger guests and more experienced racers. This ensured the design was developed not only as a professional racing track, but also as a commercial attraction for a broad leisure audience.
During weekly design reviews, RH1 assessed each part of the track based on an understanding of City Park’s target visitors, including families with children, young adults and adult leisure visitors. The team examined whether certain sections were too difficult for beginners, whether slower areas could create congestion, and whether the curves and racing lines remained exciting for a more confident driver. Visibility, signage, and entry and exit points were also reviewed to help guests understand the track and race safely. RH1 also considered track capacity and session flow to ensure the attraction could serve different visitor groups smoothly, even during busy periods.

Beyond the circuit design, RH1 also considered how the track would connect with the wider building and the complete operational journey. Working with JKRP Architects, the American architectural design partner for the TGC Speedway building, RH1 shaped the visitor flow from ticketing, registration and digital waiver completion to waiting, safety briefing, equipment preparation, racing and results. Connecting these spaces with the track operation helped guests move smoothly through each stage while supporting efficient session scheduling, capacity control and crowd management.
4. Turning the Go-Kart Track Design into Reality at City Park
Moving from the sketch to a finished attraction required close coordination with the local construction team.
Before construction began, RH1 reviewed the detailed construction drawings against the original track design to confirm that the dimensions, curves, levels and technical requirements had been translated correctly. As work progressed, the team monitored construction quality, materials and site progress to ensure the contractor followed the approved specifications.
RH1 measured completed track sections and inspected curve geometry, surface levels, inclines and transitions, as even small differences could affect how the karts handled. An uneven surface, incorrect slope or poorly formed curve could reduce racing quality and create safety risks, even when the overall layout appeared correct. The team also deep dive into details: checked flooring materials, surface finishes, track colours, barriers and signage to ensure they met both technical and visual requirements.

By identifying and resolving issues during construction, RH1 helped reduce later rework, protect the project timeline and ensure the finished track performed as intended.
5. Getting the City Park Go-Kart Track Ready for Operation
As construction neared completion, the focus shifted from building the track to preparing kart fleet and race management system for onsite operation.
The kart fleet selection was planned around City Park’s target audience and commercial objectives. As the destination aimed to attract families, groups, young adults and local leisure visitors, RH1 chose Sodikart, a global karting manufacturer, to provide petrol, electric, kids’ and two-seater karts. This wide selection allowed guests of different ages and confidence levels to take part, including children and less-confident player can share the experience in a two-seater kart.
Once the kart types and total numbers had been confirmed, RH1 brought together Masterise Homes, Sodikart, logistics providers and the local operations team to manage the import and commissioning process. This covered delivery, on-site assembly, kart inspection, performance and safety testing, and maintenance planning. Training was also arranged so the local team could operate, inspect and maintain the karts safely after handover.
The karts were also customised with signature graphics, creating a consistent visual identity across the fleet and the wider venue. This also made the experience more recognisable in guests’ footages.

Preparing the karts was only one part of operational readiness. The next step was integrating registration, digital-waiver, timing and race-management systems. RH1 confirmed the technical requirements from the provider – APEX Timing, coordinated purchasing and prepared the necessary hardware, network infrastructure and user permissions before installation. Preparing these elements together helped reduce delays at launch and made the attraction easier to manage for both visitors and staff in the future operate.
By connecting development with operational execution, RH1 delivered a turnkey solution that transformed the completed track into a fully operational attraction ready to welcome visitors at City Park, The Global City.
